Dogs with Addison’s need daily medication to live. These organizers help us know the day’s dose has been given.
Pred is normally given once per day with breakfast.
Florinef or fludrocortisone is normally given twice per day – with breakfast & dinner.

Z luerem, wsuwasz to, co oznacza, że może łatwo się zsunąć, jeśli pies poruszy się podczas podawania zastrzyku. Słyszeliśmy o tym przypadku więcej niż raz. Członkowie naszej grupy na Facebooku regularnie proszą o sugestie dotyczące strzykawek & igły. Proszę bardzo!
1 strzykawki ml byłyby dla psów, których dawka wynosi 1 ml lub mniej. Te celowo nie zawierają igły. Zwróć także uwagę na wybór igieł. Niestety, taniej jest kupić pudełka 100 niż kupować mniejsze ilości! Trudno też znaleźć sterylne strzykawki do użytku medycznego w mniejszych ilościach.
3 strzykawki ml byłyby dla psów, których dawka jest większa niż 1 ml lub do 3 ml. Są za duże dla większości psów otrzymujących małe dawki Percortenu lub Zycortalu. Rzadko byłoby potrzeba pomiędzy 3 & 5 ml. Jeśli masz bardzo dużego psa i nie przestawiłeś się jeszcze na niskie dawki, you may need 5 ml syringes. If you don’t know about the low dose approach, ask in our Facebook group! Te celowo nie zawierają igły. Zwróć także uwagę na wybór igieł.
Best practices suggest drawing the medication with a sterile needle and then switching to a new sterile needle to inject the medication. This is because the needle gets dulled when pushing it through the stopper of the vial and it could hurt a little if you used the dulled needle rather than a new sharp one. We suggest a 22 gauge needle due to the thickness of Percorten and Zycortal. Poniżej, you can choose between 3/4 inch and 1 inch needles. We also suggest alcohol pads to wipe the top of a used vial before and after the injection. This is to cut down on any possibility of contamination of the vial.
